Overview
The Dell PowerConnect 5424 is iSCSI optimized and has a 48Gbps switch fabric capacity. Dell 5424 switches have 24 ports of gigabit ethernet and 4 SFP combo slots. This is a layer 3 switch with layer 2 mode and 8 priority queues per port. The PowerConnect has 64MB of CPU SDRAM. 16MB of flash and 6Mb of packet buffer memory. This switch can be configured with short wave and long wave optics.
